Help for a Lady required

Hello Boys

I'm in need of some assistence from any guys out there...!!!

I have just bought myself a 03 Range Rover Vogue and need some help to get my phone to work.

I've put my sim in as instructed but the phone just says searching base and nothing else.

Please help as you know us girls and our need to be able to talk on the phone :-(

have ya registered the sim and had it enabled?

I don't know, it's my sim out of my mobile phone if that makes any sense

Is it on the same network,the phone in my other car is on Orange,bought a pay as you go contract and stuck the sim in and away you go.
