HELP! Can I change Single CD Head Unit to a Navigation?

Hi, I have a euro spec 2005 range rover with the single CD stereo unit. unlike the US version, it does not have the navigation screen / LCD. It is simply a single disc CD head unit with two green/black lcd bars on the bottom. It does, however, have the trip computer, etc... built into the stereo. I also have a 6 cd changer in the glove compartment.

I recently purchased a navigation / LCD head unit from Ebay and am planning on replacing the head unit. does anyone know if this is possible? if so, will I need any special wiring harnesses or splicing? i had heard that there is a possibility that the two head units have different outputs (the single CD being analog and the LCD screen being digital). Does anyone know if this is true?

not a clue but best to have a look at the wiring/plugs, i doubt you will do any dameage to the car or stereo by plugging it in and see what happens. make sure you have your codes ready tho!!!

are you sure that there are codes?

not really sure but it'd be easier to give LR a quick call to verify any codes needed than have to drive with no radio!
