Help!! - Brass 1/2 selector detent spring holder thread

Ive stupidly knackered the thread on the gearbox where the brass 1/2 selector detent spring holder screws in. Currently using a piece of wood jammed against the seat box to keep it forward and in drive!
Would anyone know what thread it is so i can get it tapped, as i cannot screw the brass plunger in.
Would be much appreciated.

As for the reply to your problem. What vehicle is the gearbox for. Hopefully you can get a better response from the correct section. This is mainly for Hello and cartoons misuse.
