Help - auto gearbox required

Hi

My Brooklands 1994 Classic Range Rover's gearbox has decided to be no more , when I need the car more in the winter months...... oh great.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of a good recon gearbox?

Any help or advice would be great, I'm based in the Surrey area.

go to a specailist and get your reconditioned as if you fit one yourself and the lines are all filled with ****e form your old one it will ruin your new one :doh:

if this happends after you have had a specialist do the job its there fault, but check that they will accept liability first.

it will cost you between £900 and £1550 sorry :doh:

if you were going to try and do it yourself I think from emeory a recon unit form ashcrofts is about £750 with a surcharge on your old box and you then have shipping both ways too.

it is a ****ter when this happens, it doubled the ammount of cash I had in my classic
