There's only one when you've had a drink or two, just found out the sister in law has only months left unless they can come up with a plan but the specialists are on holiday till next week.

Terrible news Alan. not nice even with the in-laws you don’t get along with that said I knew a woman was told she had few months went on for couple of years. Very determined sort she was.

It's been problems misdiagnosed from the sound of things. Her doctor put everything down to COPD, she was in so much pain she phoned her COPD nurse who said it's nothing to do with it, phone ambulance immediately, could have had a heart attack at any time. Diseased arteries and heart valves. and we got on well.

Hope you don't need one mate, they're stretched to the limit,the sister in law had to wait for an hour and a half for an ambulance,the brother in law said he would take her and was told not to because blue light admissions are seen quicker. Was still hours for a PCR test and bloods then four hours to see a doctor. The corridors were full of patients on trollies and the A&E waiting area was full to capacity.God bless them all they're doing their best.

I was waiting 50 mins most of that I was out so didn't notice. The paramedics were brilliant and treated me in the house. They admitted it was taking 2hrs to hand patients over and as it was night time I was better in my own bed and then contacting my GP first thing in the morning. Wife phoned GP 8.15 next morning and I was with GP by 9.00am. So yes at lot quicker and better than going to hospital, fortunately for me that is. There's some poor sods who have to go into hospital. Its those I feel for

Nothing changes with the NHS, 60 years ago there were no beds when I was blue lighted after an accident, spent my time on a trolley, first in the corridor, then shut in the linen cupboard as I was making too much noise Fourteen hours before the consultant deigned to come to work and see me. After being operated on I was sent home unable to walk or move my arms as there were still no beds. I was collected every morning by ambulance, spent tevery day on the trolley and transported home every evening for 2 months.
