There may be by now. As at 2 August the status was "We have a fix for this but currently waiting to test it before releasing it."
I haven't updated since then.

its syncmate im usuing, ill use live data on snap-on ethos tommorrow to see if cranksensor is ****ed up, many thanks for all the help so far!

Came across this on another forum. Essentially the mig (Omega) tractor has the same engine as the Rangie. Looks interesting: Inside the 2.5TD ECU

yep i had it done when i fitted a small hole m51 engine into a previous p38, had the correct 994 pump turned down to fit the hole.
should never swap the tops of the pumps they are set to thousands of a mm to far wont rev up then other end of the scale rev there nuts off!
some people have swapped tops with ok results but myself would rather it was done properly so i know its right especially when fault finding

The sensors are pretty reliable but if the distance to the flywheel is not set correctly can give spurious signals.
