hi everyone, i have recently bought our 3rd freelander (2004 td4 se) after owning in the past a 1.8exi and an early exdi with 185000 miles on it. I know they have their "issues" but me and the wife love them.

Welcome to you & your brilliant choice of Landrover. With your Freelander knowledge, your most welcome to this forum.
I keep telling them old dinosaurs - Freelanders are the way to go & you're living proof.

we love the things, had our fair share of problems but i would soon get bored if it was 100% trouble free. had our 04 plate 10 days and the rear drivers window mech has snapped the cable :) . our v reg 1.8 we had a few years ago was bought from the stealer and went back for work 3 times, rear window rubber and throttle housing fitted, oil pressure light flickering on tickover, ended up with a new oil pump and switch but there was talk of fitting a new engine.

I've had my Td4 Auto for just over 6 months with no problems & it is a brilliant car to drive. Could do with more power though & that's after my egr bypass & Roverron box fitted. Don't forget to change your crankcase breather filter/valve assembly. A search on crankcase breather wil give all the info.
