Hello All,
I am new to landrovers and got a cheap 95 discovery. I am pretty handy but I think I will need alot of help. I am looking forward to picking your brains!!

I assume it’s a 300Tdi discovery as opposed to the V8. It’s a great engine, the weak point was the p-gasket behind the water pump which needs changing to the later version when the timing belt is done but going by the age of it, this is likely to have been done.

The other issue with the disco 1 is rust in the body, in particular the sills, front inner wings, rear wheel arches and boot floor. If these are done, you should have a decent truck. Don’t forget some pics.

Thanks for the advice!! Its actually a 2.5 tdi 3 speed auto. Body has a bit of rust but the side and back window seals are very badly corroded.
