hi, I've just bought my first disco, it's a '99 td5 ES. I've had a defender in the past but have always wanted to get back behind the green oval, so when I saw this one up at a local garage I had to have it.

I'm based in hull, Yorkshire and am looking forward to getting out and about in the old girl

So yeah....just thought I'd introduce myself and have a look around the forum.

Thanks for the warm and informative welcome Neilly. The checklist was brilliant, luckily I had checked about 95% of the things on there as I know what older land rovers are like. The 3 amigos were on for the test drive, but the garage will be rectifying this before I give them any of my hard earned. I will also make sure I get the EKA code for emergencies too.

Do you have a link for the workshop manual by any chance?
