Just thought I would say hello.

I have a 1957 Series 1 which I have owned for 20 years and have just bought a 1993 Range Rover SE A which is far too posh after the series 1 but warmer in this weather!

Welcome to the forum,

Bet that was a shock to the system, jumping in the RR SE from the S1! Doors that shut, electric windows, a radio, soft comfy seats, speed and not forgetting a heater!!! No more scrapping the ice off of the inside of the windscreen, no more driving around in 3 thick wooly jumpers, a hat and a pair of gloves....

Sounds like you've turn't soft to me?????

You're right, I'm getting soft! It's great not to have icy water defrosting from inside the hardtop and running down your neck. Mind I wouldn't get rid of the series 1 for anything, anyway it's a TV star been in Heartbeat.

Thanks
But I don't do much to it except use it. Fitted a new rear crossmember 20 years ago and thats about the only thing major that I have done to it apart from an annual service.

Thanks Guys
bought it for £100 in 1985, ex local garage recovery vehicle, fitted a new rear crossmember and apart from an odd wheel cylinder and brake reline haven't done anything major to it apart from a coat of paint (twice).
