Hi!

Thought I'd post here to introduce myself before I go and ask for help.

My Landie is a 2002 Defender 90, bought in a temper last winter after my otherwise lovely German rear-wheel-drive saloon became comprehensively stuck in heavy snow. Sine then, she's become a much-loved member of the family, transporting us and our bikes to the woods and me and our junk to the tip.

Here she is, parked outside my office last January. Note how many of my colleagues had managed to get to work!

Yep having a 4x4 does have it draw backs can't use the excuse the snows to bad :D.

Absolutely - a neighbour of mine took a call from a colleague to say he wasn't bothering to come because of the snow, and that he assumed it was ok because my neighbour always made it whatever the weather.

Neighbour promptly sold his Discovery and bought a Jag.

As for me, well I'm self employed so no show, no pay...
