Hi,
Just want to say hello. I live in central France, and if I'm not mistaken quite close to Dave "thebiglad" who offered some advice a few years ago. I'm not new to Land Rovers, I've only just got rid of my 200TDI after 12 or so years, it died and couldn't pass the French MOT, bad and very sad. Too near to salt water in Blackpool for too many years and not a lot left of the body....
But now I've just bought an '98 300TDI auto XS, still in the UK waiting for me to bring it back here next week. There is a little thing I need to ask but I'll put it in the correct section another time.
Hope it'll be as simple as the 200, I kept that going here for 10 years with string and masking tape and cat food cans, don't ask !
I am (was) a Mercedes trained mechanic but that was 40 years ago but for the past 30 years design and build audio amps, so some little mechanical (most forgotten) and electrical knowledge.
Looking forward to the forum and knowledge that's shared here.

Best....Graham

Welcome tp the mad house. Sorry to hear about the 200TDi. I presume it's a Disco you've got (being an auto XS) and not a Defender?

Look forward to you participating in our healthy discussions. Interested to read you build audio amps, tubes or solid state?

Thank you. Yes, a Discovery not a Defender. I need it, not only living in isolation but with arthritis driving my wife's 106 is murder...
Amps, both/all under the name of Blackcat Electronics.
