Hi
Just been given a nice wee Series III by my Father-in-law and thought, as a newbie, I should look for some friendly forums to learn from those who have been there and done it.

I'm not really a mechanic, only previously having ever been able to do routine servicing on my cars, so got lots to learn. Plenty of enthusiasm to learn though!

First task is to clean up the chassis for a couple of minor repairs (my brother-in-law can weld, so that's a bonus) and then get it serviced and MOT'd.

As you can imagine, I cannot wait to get it out on the road for some wilderness camping.

Anyway, just thought I'd say hi. :)

Hopefully it will get the odd taste of what it was built for. I've got an inkling to use her for some camping out in the wilds, maybe take her over to some of the remote Scottish Islands.

just that I have never seen anything like it,subtle it aint. is it ok to drive with such a small wheel and no PAS?

Well I've only really steered the beast into the drive, and it was fairly heavy. It's not quite as garish as the photo, the flash went off as it was really overcast and it's almost come alive!

Lol! I've got a proper steering wheel to refit. Apparantly the owner prior to my Father-in-law was a tad rotund and needed the smaller wheel to fit in the cab!!
