Hello, new Ugandan (ex pat) in your midst

Hi Guys, just a quick (maybe not so quick) introduction, had a couple of Landies, all started off with an ex South African Defence Force 2.5 n/a diesel donkey of note(while living in South Africa) moved to Iceland and bought the wife a new (then) Freelander, later on traded in for a Defender 130, moved to Uganda then bought a 1994 defender 300 tdi added a 1997 disco 300tdi to the lot, bloody marvellous piece of kit had many a good safari with that, very economical and did not give me a days trouble i then bought a good (65 000kms) td 5 disco, man this thing was the dogs bollocks full house (all the bells and whistles) let me down twice, once the alternator went and the second time suspension airbags burst (at speed) in Murchison park and nearly killed us! jeezus fecking shat myself fortunately allot if spilt beer later it was under control .........embarrassing when the car carrier had to come all the way from Kampala to collect, ordered suspension bags from the states and was running like a dream until i wrote it off on the way to Entebbe Airport in the wee hours, family car now Toyota Land Cruiser 100 4.2 d (company car now) I want to convert the Defender into a commercial, need it for towing boat and generally messing about (bought a written off commercial as donor vehicle) taken me years and done f/all, sat drinking beer smoking and staring at the lot hoping it would one day just decide rebuild themselves!!! Hopefully I will be bugging all the GURUS on the site soon for advice.
