Hello, so I bought a series 2 discovery about a yr ago spent a wedge on it and probably going to have to spend more as I have some random problems... thought I'd say hello to those who have the same problems

You will nead this when the immobilizer thingy locks you out or wont let you start the damb thing, just when you need to go now, obtainable via stealers
Ahhhhhhhh I see ok will do. Although my ignition barrel has already screwed me over and I now start it with a screw driver haha

Thank you very much for your help.... as I've just tried starting it after a dead battery and it just turn over so either fuel or more likely immobiliser...

Hi @Russell-31

Immobiliser would stop it turning over, all you would get is the sound of silence.

When you turn ignition on , can you hear the fuel pump in the boot?

Make sure your battery is FULLY charged. You can even try checking the voltage as you crank it, anything below 10.5 volts and the car will likely not start as the cars brains need to see that voltage.

Cheers

Ahhhhhhhh that's probably it then the battery has been rubbish for a while and it didn't start a couple of days ago so I left it and used my other car and tried jumping it today....
