Hello from the south!

Hello everyone! I've been reading your forum for a few months whilst being in search for a disco td5.
I'd really like to say a huge thanks for the excellent buying guides and common faults which have really helped me out!
So with your help and advice I've finally parted with some cash and as of tueaday I am now the proud owner of a 2002 disco td5!
I've got very limited off road experience and by that I mean being regularly stood next to various trees from the age of about 3 to around 13 watching my old man compete in rtv trials with the hbro in a few different 3 door range rovers which seemed like absolute monsters when only a few feet tall!
So it's no surprise really with landrovers that far under the skin that at the age of 23 I now have my own! And here she is...

WELCOME! Is that colour Bohemian Silver? Looks similar to mine. I see the windows are misted up, leaking sunroofs then?

Yeah the internal waterfall was an interesting feature on the test drive! I couldn't tell you the name for it. It looks like a goldy silver. I've not seen many about in that colour.

I'm in Southampton, thanks for the heads up! I'll have a look but it's on rather smooth road tyres at the moment. Not sure how far I would get!

Youd be suprised how far they go mines on road tyres and has done Salisbury plain twice and the odd green lane too with no major issues

Ran mine on road tires up until christmas, no issues with them on the Byways, have changed onto Grabber AT2's now as the last lot had worn out but other wise id still be using road ones, bit of an investment but worth considering at some point.

Give me a shout if you want to try your car out on some lanes, am down in Southampton during the term time and would be happy to head out with someone else.

There are a few ByWays up toward Salisbury so not far
