Hello from the Canary Island of Fuerteventura.


We have been living here in Tindaya/Fuerte for a few years now.

When many car rental companies reduced their fleets in 2020, it was difficult for us as small holiday rental companies in the countryside to rent out.

So we looked around for a well-suited vehicle for the sun (convertible) but also for the dirt roads to the beach.

The perfect car, a Freelander 4x4 convertible, was soon found.


In the meantime we have 3 of these vehicles and our guests have a lot of fun.

we rent the vehicles only as a supplement for our house guests.
The Freelander 1 Convertible is pretty much the last 4x4 SUV with a removable hardtop.
Until about 1995 there were some from Suzuki, Daihatsu, Mitsubishi or Opel Frontera with short wheelbase and removable roof. But that is a dying form of vehicle.
Today cars have to be roundsucked, marcial looking e-driven vehicles.
