Cheers, no just thought on the photo the rear port looked a bit sooty that's all.
Are you getting a custom manifold for the intention of remapping / increased EGT?
Ahhh Yes, agreed it was likely warped looking at that. The plan is to get her remapped when she is back together, going for a better flow path than the cast log. Ultimately though we won't be pushing it hard as we want her to be reliable more than anything.
I have always wanted to put a mani together so we will be giving it a go.

Even better a video , welcome to the asylum guys , straight jackets are available , lol

Well done finding it. We most definitely will be doing more videos. 2 so far (glad you liked the tent sketch). We are aiming for a video every 2 weeks (as we still have day jobs).

We sure will. We hope to be able to bring new videos to the YouTube channel every two weeks. This is dependent on how often we can work on the project with the day jobs and family commitments. Pretty regular updates are on Instagram too if you guys wanted to subscribe. Thanks for all the comments so far...we will certainly look to pick your brains as we progress. Happy new year to you all

The dif lock is on the transfer box. I also have a TD5 D2 which doesn’t have the dif lock, but all the mechanism is there. You just need the linkage from the shifter to get the dif lock working (on the TD5 combo anyway)

I think, and people with far more knowledge than I have on the P38 can correct me, that the RR has a viscous coupling system rather than dif lock. Also I think they all had traction control to some degree and pretty amazing articulation for a stock suspension setup, which made it pretty decent as an off-road machine. With all that, no real need for dif lock unless you want to build a serious offroad monster. If that was the case I wouldn’t even bother with CDL and would chuck a locker in each of the front and rear difs independently. Hope that’s the right info, I am not very clued you on RRs.

No. The auto Z gearboxes have vcu. I have manual R380 with no TC. I don’t have stock suspension either....it is a monster ;):D
As above p38 has VCU, same transfer box on autos and manuals.
I thought all of them had TC albeit 2 wheel only on earlier ones, but maybe really early or base models it wasnt standard
