Hello from St. Louis

Hi, I'm Scott Kurtz from St. Louis, Missouri. I just started driving my little sister's 1995 Discovery last month after getting into an accident with my Pontiac Sunfire. I've been looking around for a Land Rover forum and stumbled upon this one. I hope I can learn some stuff from you guys, at the rate things are going with my insurance company, I'm going to be driving the Rover for quite a while, so might as well have some fun with it.

Get it off road! (but don't tell your sister )

As soon as I get some repairs done, I'm taking it to St. Joe's State Park. They have the biggest state-owned off-roading area in Missouri. I'll just have to clean the Rover off before I get home. My sister will never know .

That sounds great. What needs fixing?

Let's see, the leather on the seats needs work, the interior panel in back has a rust problem that the president from my Cavalier/Sunfire club is going to help me with, door speakers need to be replaced, and the hood either needs a new coat of paint or a new clearcoat.

I have some clearcoat issues on the hood of my 2000 Disco. About four places, a few square inches each, have begun to peel. The paint underneath is sort of rough in texture. Does anyone have suggestions? Seem odd to me.
