Hello, just to introduce myself to the forum. I've come back to Land Rovers after a break of about 15 years, having always promised myself another one. I used to have a series IIA (2.25 diesel) which I used for off-roading - great fun! Taught me all about welding!
This time I have an A reg (1984) 110 County (2.5 n/a diesel) which I will have to take more care of as it was bought in place of our second car, so
I can't really thrash it at weekends as it has to take me to work the next day....
However, fords (the river type, not the makers of the crap Ka) and fields are beckoning to me, so no doubt we will be getting it dirty (don't you just hate 4x4s that won't even put a wheel on the verge?) very soon.
Got some interior tidying up to do to make it more presentable for the family and some minor electrics (like adding a lighter socket to run gadgets from, some interior lighting, thats sort of thing) and have some nice new front seats and a cubby box on order.
I'd fogotten that with an older Landy, total strangers wave as they pass the other way in thiers - it's nice to be part of that again.
