Hi just joined, been watching this forum and reading posts for about a year, really helped me out with serveral DIY repairs on my D2, thought its time to join up!
Got my 1st LR about 4 years which was a freelander 2, loved it, took it off road whenever I could including some lanes in the Lake District, soon realised I wanted something more off road focused like a D2 or Defender so opted for a D2 as more affordable and a little more 'luxuary' than the Defender. Really interesting car the D2, money pit but dont regret it one bit.
Currently in the process of trying to decide what tyre size to go for as im about to change the road bias AT's to some more aggressive AT's but choosing whether to stay on std 255/65r16 or go bigger is proving to be a difficult decision! Sierra's post on larger tyres affecting the control systems and VSS is really interesting and putting me off the idea of going bigger, maybe settle for a minor increase with 245/70r16's which give me more tyre choice, slighltly more height without messing with ABS and TC to much.
