Need some new tyres, not got a lot to spend so looking at Budget. Thinking of these 2 but cant decide. The insas are remould's but the otheres are not. Anyone tried the Roadcruzas yet ? I am on road more then off.

How many miles you done on them Mate ? Have you got the Dakerer muds ?was thinking about trying the Insa turbo AT Rangers

It's the Rangers I have on the 110, done about 28k miles so far, before I got the 110 I had a Discovery 1 and used the same tyres with no problems.

What is your realistic budget?

Why that size? That isn't a Defender size.

Insa Turbo are remould. I like remoulds for the aggressive treads you can get. Very good for more extreme off roading. But in general a remould is usually less good as a dedicated long term road tyre. The rubber goes hard and they are more prone to cracking.

I've owned and run loads of remoulds without issue. But for primary road use or daily driving I would normally opt for a non remould.

With regards to the Dakar, it is off road biased (even says so in the link description you added ;) ). It is also an old tread pattern. I feel you can do better these days. When tyres like this where £70-80/tyre they made sense. These days they cost as much or more than a new tyre. And I just can't see the sense in getting them for road use.

I had the Turbo Dakars on my Ninety in 205 70R16.

I thought they were a pretty good all rounder, slightly biased towards off road.
If I wanted to do mostly sealed road use, I would lean more towards an AT type tyre.
But the Dakars would probably be fine for that as well.

I’ve fitted a set of these radar renegade RT+ on my defender. Very quite for an aggressive tyre, and 3 peaks rated.
Also cheap.

I swapped saggy old Dakars on my Disco for a set of Toyo Open Country AT Plus, and it transformed the car. I immediately gained 3mpg, and the car will sit at 70 happily where 65 was the practical limit before. Much quieter too! The tread pattern is very similar to that latterly fitted to Defenders.
