well just got my first land rover, 1976 series 3 and need to get her back on the road.

Brought on e@ay for £142 she is a runner but needs tlc to re-store her...what have i started

According to the blurb you can buy everything from a nut & bolt to a Scorpion tank. The stalls area is huge - you'll be lucky if you manage it in a single day.

if yer door bottom is *****d you can get a replacment bit from paddocks. i got two bottoms and rebuilt the sides with the other one; then i bought a sheet of ally and recovered the door frame..total cost less than a tenner

you could do that which is probelly better way than stripping it right down , unless yer chassis is *****d and in need of some thermal bond repair work.
i now have a chassis with axles, engine g/box and bulkhead.. the rest of the landy is spreading further out each day. the last I heard the fuel filler neck was in the ukraine. so doing it a bit at a time will atleast keep it all in one spot.
