Hi, I'm the owner of a series 3 109 Station Wagon in Italy, and I was motivated to join as I'm tired of holding my gear lever in second and third as it tries to pop out of gear on deceleration...
I suppose I'd like to know if anybody can share any experiences of having their S3 gearboxes rebuilt? It doesn't need to be an Italian Job (!) as I'm a Brit working over here and I'm willing to drive it 'home' to the UK, for a good quality repair job.
