I'm a new member from the western slope of Colorado. I recently bought a 1993 Range Rover County LWB with 65,000ish miles on it. It is original except for a replacement of the EAS with coil springs. I enjoy driving it immensely, and it is my hope that with your kind assistance that I will keeping it on the road for awhile.

I have already experienced a couple of quirky issues, but I have worked them out thus far. A new water pump is on the way as I post this, because there seems to be play in the pulleys and fan (the whole assembly rocks a bit).

Although I have been told that these cars are a bit pricey to maintain, the price was so good, I could not pass it up. So here I am.

So, is it because I'm a ****? (using regional vernacular here) Is it because I'm from across the pond and that's not good form here in the LandyZone? Because, I can't get a response from the cadre on anything other than spoofing where I live. I can't even get the mods to post a tech question I have about replacing my water pump. What gives?

Best time for this is 17:00-2300 uk local time.

LZ is a funny place, tin hat and sense of humour required.

If you post your question in the appropriate section-your get a reply.
Generally either the engine or correct vehicle model section.

For USA Rover Renovations or British Atlantic for spares.
guess you have a 3.9 unless you have an LSE 4.2

I'm from the US. I always bring a gun.

It's a 4.2 and I got the pump from British Atlantic, so I'm on the right path. I just wondered if there was any issue to be aware of when replacing the pump.

Thanks for the reply.

Slow down my overweight war-hungry former servant..it was late on a friday night and all the english were away on their country estates in Scotland shooting grouse.

I'm sure you'll get some response today after tiffin-time, its saturday and once people have ridden the maid and eaten a fox, they will be eager to share witty remarks from the shed as they invent wonderous things for the world to steal and claim as their own.

:welcome2:

Several bolts go right through timing chest-just go steady and "ease it" spray if you have corrosion on bolts.
Clean face and bolts
Smear of silicon instant gasket on paper gasket and do bolts up evenly as they are small.

I appreciate the advice.

Storm, thanks for being the kind of lord who would help a former servant.:clap2: But, I'm not overweight although my bum is a bit blimpy.

Overweight can only be judged by standing behind a buffalo, if people can still see you then you're american.......errrrr.... fat:D

Which coast? It's confusing for a dullard like me because we have TWO of them here.

I can only imagine how befuddling it would be on an island.

Nah it's easy we have one coast, it goes all the way round;)
Welcome, by the way.
