Hello everyone

Firstly hello to everyone. I’ve been using the forum for the last few weeks to narrow down my search for a defender. I’m managed to find one and hopefully with the forum guidance should be able to fix and maintain all the niggly bits. The ‘new’ td5 needs a rear crossmember and the fuel regulator sorting first. Then windscreen washer pump/jets and a horrible vibration at 45mph. Anyway, hope I can give help as well as receive info.

Yes. Easily stolen and very sought after by thieves who tend to strip them for parts as they’re no longer made.

My current todo list is quite large now, tubular outriggers, wing stays, rear crossbeam, rattly rear windows, alpine window rubbers, steering uj, the list appears endless. Need to look up how to treat aluminium corrosion and repaint!
