Thanks for the welcome, I will have to pick your brains about the lanes, however I think that my first tentative steps into green laning ought to be with someone who knows what they are doing!!!

Tilly Lives!!!!! Thanks to everyone, especially Ratty who called me today to find out if I needed a hand. It turned out to be a number of things gone astray. Turns out that the AA man was right that it was pure coinsidence that the fault happened after my wiring. It turned out that my ignition switch had died and the lead to the stop solenoid had broken. Then I was sold the wrong switch which added an interesting red herring! But today armed with all of your advice, a newly purchased multimetre and a son that had some idea of how to use it - a miriacle Tilly started (and stopped again). Radio and power sockets work, so will the spot lights once I get some new bulbs. Still one or two niggles, like the ignition light and oil light not coming on when the key is turned. Thanks again to Ratty, - I (well actually my son) has checked that the battery is charging and all is ok. Have just taken her out for a spin and drove all the way with a big grin on my face. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN YOU ARE BRILLIANT!!!!! :D:D:D
