sorry laptop had a funny 5 minutes!!

a couple of hooligan mobiles! so far I have fitted a winch and bumper and done a few pay and plays as well as a bit of greenlaning.

2 quick questions, I want to try to make my winch as secure as possible and was thinking of taking the bonnet alarm switch and running it through the live for the winch so that the alarm will go off if the cable is cut. will the current just melt the switch the first time I use the switch?

Also I had a bit of a mare the other day, speedo wasn't working so checked the cable, managed to get it working again but when I was re attaching the clamp to the transfer box I put the bolt in cross threaded and managed to shear it off! Looking at everything around it there isn't any room to get a drill in there so was thinking of modifying the bracket and putting a couple of new fixings in the top of the transfer box to hold the bracket in place

all that current will defo fry the switch and prob all the associated wiring aswell

my winch is secured by 2 spot welds on the securing bolts underneath

Had a feeling it might. A bloke round the corner had his nicked a while ago so trying to make it as secure as possible. Cheers
