So I posted on here a while about swivel hubs and got some useful help.
Then I started restoring it and cleaning ujp rust.... and found more rust... and a bit more.... and ended up with crack that ran from the rear boot floor all round the wheelarch up along the sill and finshed somewhere up under the dashboard.
Not ideal.
So meanwhile, I went to see a mate who had a winch bumper I wanted. I bought that - and the Disco it was attached to.
So the new toy is a 95 disco, almost rot free, with 2 suspension lift, inch of body lift, and large wheels... only downside is it's an auto. Bit of a gamble, but it'll be easier around town. Not that it's going to spend much around town like.
She's off for her MOT Sat, having had some rather inexpert welding (the front sill mounts were rotted and fabbing and welding new ones in was... challenging. Fingers crossed she passes.... and one she's had a gently green lane on the way home it's time for washing in waxoyl and a full fluid change...
