Hello all , bit of advise

Hello everyone , I am thinking of buying my first Land Rover , I want a defender 110 and have a few questions for the guys in the know, I have looked at a couple already.

What are the main things to look out for on a defender other than the bulk head and rear cross bar , I drove a 2002 td5 today and the stearing had a lot of play in it , and the breaks didnt seem up to much , I drive a vw touran though and it might just be land rovers are like this any help and advise would be great

did have a look but i will have a look again , just wonderd if they had slack steering np tho will search thanks
