Hi, thought I’d introduce myself again as it’s been a while. I joined as I owned 3 freelanders over the past few years, and still have one. However, I have just bought a new project, a ‘72 series 3 SWB. I’ll have quite a few questions I’m sure, but I’ll make sure I search for previous threads first!!

What do you think?
Luke

I wish projects I'd had in the past looked as tidy as that

Yes, indeed.
Appearances are deceptive though , and for what I paid I was hoping it was a bit “tidier”.

I’ve jumped from fully restoring rotten minis, so was looking for an easy one. Bought it blind, and it arrived with no brake pedal.... but that’s sorted after correcting shoe springs placements, new cylinders and bleeding them.
Next is Smokey Petrol engine, supposedly fully rebuilt. 130 psi across all cylinders. Over filled with oil. Zenith carb. That’s this weekend sorted....
