Hellllllp!!!!! Bonnet wont open

just gone to check me oil level etc and cant open ruddy bonnet
the pass side as released but drivers side is still locked.
i have pulled on both the cables inside with pliers and also pulled up on the bonnet with the mrs pulling the release catch but still no go..
any ideas please?

sounds like u need to strip the outter cable on the side that dont open and check the inner cable is still intact, if it aint maybe you could remove the grill to access it?

have you tried pushing down on the bonnet while pulling the cable?

the 1 cable has tension on it wich i think is the pass side and the other cable has a fair bit of slack,wich i think is the problem..
have pressed down on the bonnet too wilst pulling on the release catch but still no joy....

can ya take the grille off to get to the doings?

the screws that hold the grille on are on the top of it lol under the bonnet lol

not enough room i dont think.

its either that or bost the grille or maybe someone with very long thin arms who can fiddle with it from underneath... good luck

Same thing happened to me a while back - one of the two cables broke and there was just no way to open the bonnet - at the time, the independent I used to use was still around and they put it up on a ramp and got to it from underneath with a lot of trouble. Only other way is to break the grille and get to it from there - you have to release the catch on the broken cable side manually, and its just behind the grille. Nightmare.
Hope you manage to work around it and get it open ok
