Hellish squeal...

....From my drivers side window on the way up and it really slows down near the top. Its squealed on the way up and down when i got the car but i cleaned glass and seals and sprayed silicon protector spray down the edges of window (where i thought the runners to be). The motor seems like it has to work very hard to get the window back up im worries its going to pack in any second. Im happy to remove the door card and give things a grease/lube ect but ive seen videos of electric window assembly and it looks very fiddley. Any tips or specific things i should try. Thankyou

Cables fail for a past time. Loads of threads on here about them. I favour buying a new regulator (£20/£25) and putting my existing motor on but many are happy to do just the cables for less than a tenner.
