Hi all, I'm just in the middle of changing all the filters on the latest Freelander...

The two rear captive bolts on this one, at the rear of the filter cover. The other Freelander of mine was a simple torx/hex bolt albeit a bit of a pain. However, this one seems to have security bolts with the 'pin' in the middle - buggers. Any of you guys had this? Is there a 'cheat' way to get around this?

Looks like this pile of poo has had little to zero proper maintenance in it's life!

Just a thought. As most french bits are ****e quality could you grip one in a vice and drill a hole in the end of it?

I will bet you a nine bob note ,you are mistakenly trying to undo the Maf sensor.

That`s if its the air filter you are a tackling and you are a 1st time TD4 owner.

Not saying why I think this.
