Hi I have a td5 manual 2002 and am really pleased with it but the only issue is the heavy clutch. There is nothing wrong with the clutch, its just so heavy, if in the future I had a new clutch fitted are there options to have a lighter one fitted or is there just one replacement and thats it

yep ours is brand new, with a new DMF, master and slave cylinder and it's still heavy and with a quite dead feel.

One thing I have done is to make plate the same size as the pedal and spaced this out about 15mm from the pedal using 4 bolts and spacers and put the rubber back on top. This has helped as it has brought the clutch pedal up level with the brake pedal.................

funny you should have extended the clutch pedal becouse I have done exactly the same and yes it does help, it looks like I will just have to live with it.!! Thanks anyway
