Hi guys,
I have just bought a 1999 land rover 2 and the heating only works on full fan. The guy said it might need a new heating heat unit? Is this is the case or is it more likely to be a resitor somewhere? It's not a Air con model.

TIA

It's most likely the rheostat control that adjusts the fan speed. When they are going bad they only run at full speed. On my RRC it is a real chore to get to.

So not an easy fix? I've changed full heaters before, but would it be a simple heat unit swap? Also very new so unsure what a RRC is... sorry if im a bit dim haha

Most likely this bit. RRC classic Range Rover.

It's the resistor pack that's the problem and on the classic it's in between the cowl and the bonnet. Some go through the front vent to get to it. It's not on the heater control console. Check for videos on line.
