Heater Resistor Block

Hi all - managed to do a few repairs myself off the back of this forum but while I think I have found the issue from old posts I have a problem.

My heater only works on level 4 - so it seems I need a new resistor block - which makes sense.

The problem I have the part in question was just flopping about in my footwell, I shoved it in somewhere which as a result appears to have been wrong and it melted the plastic, got embedded - anyhow I got it out with some effort, sourced the part BUT I have no idea where it is supposed to go.

So my question is this - once I replace the resistor block where does it live?

It lives in the heater box, next to the blower motor. The hole where it goes is just to the left of the clutch pedal.

thank you I will try work out where that is!!!! sorry I know I sound stupid but messing with cars is new to me

Thank you for your help - as the part had fallen out I had no idea where it went. However with your help, I found it - I got the replacement off fleabay for a tenner and all is good Heater setting 1 seems quite low but to be honest, it has been that long since I had anything other than 4 it most likely is right
