My heater fan recently decided to stop working on speeds 1 and 2, and some time later on speeds 3 and 4. I knew it had to be the resistor pack. Great in winter when you're misting up. I was told by a Land Rover garage that he had none and there was an outstanding back order at Land Rover. And when they are available expect tp pay anything from £35 - £50. To be brief; tough luck.

I went on line and found www.rezpax.com. They make a repair kit for the resistor pack. It cost about £7.50 with postage. It took me about 25 minutes to do the repair, removing the resistor pack, desoldering the broken bits of resistor coils, soldering in the new ones and reinstalling resistor pack.

Not wanting to be accused of teaching 'granny to suck eggs', but if you haven't had the problem the heater resistor pack is on the RH side of the heater behind the centre console under the dash. Open the driver's door and get on your knees on the ground and look diagonally across the pedals. You will see a plug going into the resistor pack. The resistor pack is held on the heater by two self tapping screws. The rest is obvious, and repair instructions come with the repair kit.
