Heater direction

Hi all i wonder if you can help me on my 1998 disco the heater direction does not adjust (stuck on screen ) is it controlled by cable ? and if so where does it run to, i did a search but could not find the answer

I can't remember, but if you pull the control knobs off (may need pliers) and undo the screws, the fascia comes off, and I think you can get to the actual control 'bits'.
