I am trying to source a new sensor for the heater, I am quickly finding that they are no longer available (Unless someone knows a secret source) The original price on many websites (no stock) is in or around the £20 -£30 area, Craddocks show stock at nigh on £80 although I haven't asked if they have one......
If I get a used one I may end up with another duffer seeing as it seems that they commonly fail from what I have read. My question is, is there a way to bench test a used one before I fit it?

Later version. Rimmers or do a search.

It will possibly use a change of resistance on heating so you need a multimeter.
