Hi,

I'm new to this & don't know a lot about cars, but I have a Freelander 2 and the heated windscreen has stopped working apart from a small strip on the passenger side which works fine still.
Has anyone else had this problem & is it an easy fix? This is the worst possible time of year for it to stop working!
Thanks for your help :)

If you only have a partial amount of the screen that's heating, then it's very likely that the screen has failed. They normally fail when the weather cools, causing breakage of the tiny wires inside. Mine also failed on a large amount of the driver's side this year.

The only fix is to replace the screen.

If yer do need a new screen try and get an original fit genuine lr version. Glass fitters can get hold of them. The quality of some of the after market screens can be poor. If yer get an alternative search online to see if others have had problems with it.

Check the wiring connection under the plastic trim at the bottom of the windscreen. It covers the wiper mechanism.
Thankyou!

No idea what I’m looking for but I’ll get my husband to check it out! Hopefully it’s a loose connection and I don’t need a new screen. :)
