Hi there I have a x reg freelander td4. I have just replaced the cloth seats with leather ones and the seats I have put in are heated. Does anyone know if all the freelander wiring looms have the cables in for heated seats. Mine is a g s model. There are no connectors under the seats but will they be under the handbrake cubby box. Is there any way of finding out if there is any cabling for them anywhere. It would be nice to get the seat heaters working but how big a job is it if the cables are not in the existing loom.

The seat wiring is easy to add, if it's not there. The seat wiring is self contained on the underside of the seats themselves. All you need to do is run an ignition live to each seat (20 amps per side), through the heater switch, then on to the seat harnesses. The ground can be picked up under the console, by placing a ring terminal under a HB mounting bolt.
