Hiya.

i noticed wires going to my drivers seat, with 2 x connector plugs on the end.

However as i expected there is nothing to plug them into, just wondering is the connections on the main loom but just hidden.

i was just thinking as mine is a commercial do they put in a wiring loom say for an es into every car and just ommit the things according to which model it is, to save costs in developing a wiring loom for every different model.

sorry if i keep asking daft questions.

all the best

would it be difficult to wire it up, what would i need, please many thanks

if it has a yellow connector, its part of the srs system (seatbelt pre tensioners) and should be connected to something.

there were also some models which had the loom for the multichanger fitted under the drivers seat instead of the passenger seat.

as for fitting the heated seats, would involve a seat change, timer relay, fuse and switch at the very least, assuming all the wiring and ecu requirements are in place.

thanks, the wires actually go into the bottom of the seat base it self, i will have a look to see if i can get a wiring diagram.

as always really appreciate your help, thank you

I did the heated seats on mine but it sort of happened by accident as I bought a leather seat set and found it had the heated pads fitted - there is a black box that attaches to the seat as well, presumably to control timing and thermostatic cut out etc, all I needed to do was plug in under the seat then buy 2 switches (£8 each) and plug them in at the dash. Even the fuses were in place on the fuse box.

thanks guys,

I'm still trying to get the microcat working, it did work for a bit then packed up.

once i do will have a look at the parts

kind regards
