OK peeps here goes, the passengers seat is working perfectly but drivers nope lol, I checked car side plug and got 14. 65v do moved onto seat for continuity the base was 0.61 but backrest nothing so I bridged backrest plug on car side and base started to heat so I know backrest heater not working.
I then removed seat and plastics the undid backrest bracket on side furthest armrest and can see black and yellow cables and they all look good and seem attached well. When I removed seat I popped of backrest lower flap clips at either side, hog rings and the black plastic glued to bottom of flap but I have discovered there is a flap in rear of base that is stitched there as well.
To separate backrest do I just cut along join between 2 flaps and then how is cover removed from backrest to check element etc, thanks in advance

Isn't there a stiff wire running through that flap? From memory mine had one that threaded through hog rings.I think.;)

On mine it looks like the flap on lower backrest and rear base are stitched together then clamped onto black plastic that runs width of frame and is clipped on then a metal clip either end on leather and 2 hog ties, I'm assuming I will have to separate to flaps but then how does leather backrest cover come off?

I'm working from memory, not so good as its years since I did mine, but that black plastic piece just clips on so if you push it forward it will unclip from the seat frame.. with the armrest removed and the adjustment wheel and trim removed and a few clips I think I wax able to slide the cover up the seat back.

Black plastic piece seems to have both flaps attached to it and the do look like there stitched together I'll get another look when weather improves
