Heated Screen

Hi everybody,

I am hoping someone can help me, I am trying to wire up a heated screen that I have fitted to my 200tdi 110. I have a the correct relay and am using a carling MOM switch, I received a wiring diagram but my electrician is confused as it is not working properly. Power is getting to the screen when the swith is activated but the timer relay does not work properly. Does someone have a wiring diagram drawn up for a screen that works okay?

just fit an on/off switch

Does the relay earth go through a diode? HAd something similar a while ago and I wired it back to front!!! Took ages to work out that it was all my fault.

What heated screen do you have? That sounds like a great idea.

I dont think it does go through a diode but I would have to ask my friend. He has it wired up properly he thinks but i guess my version of landrover was not designed to hae one of these screens. I jusy thought someone might have wried one up on a 200tdi and may have kept a not of what wiring was done?

Ive got a couple of wiring diagrams that I could send you. They are in pdf format I think so I would perhaps have to email them to you. Im not sure how relevent they are to a 200tdi, but if you dont have any success then PM me with an email address and I'll send them to you.
