hi
try this:
Heat & Sound Insulation Material
Designed for insulating floors, bulkheads, transmission tunnels and many other applications from the effects of heat, road noise, engine and transmission noise.
Made from an aluminium face bonded to a 1/8U" composite fibreglass insulation, then backed to an aggressive adhesive. Tough enough for under vehicle applications and harsh environments where high heat can be a problem. Can also block out up to 50% of unwanted noise. Self adhesive, can be cut with tin snips to any shape.

Insulation Material;
2' x 21" - (1) - RX1473A
4' x 21" - (1) - RX1473B
4' x 42" - (1) - RX1473C

Or lots of layers of Aluminium foil. That's what is used on large and small jet engines.

It works because one side of the sheet is very reflective, and so doesn't accept heat energy too readily. It's also a poor conductor of heat, so not much gets out of the other surface before ambient air takes the energy away.

Ten sheets, packed very loosely, and shiny side towards the heat, will do the job.

bin to the scrappy and swiped some heat shield of a f*rd,i'll flatten it out and rivet it on,should do the job
cheers
