Hi, all. Going to renew the saggy headlining. As I understand previous posts, best permanent fix is to remove old headlining totally, clean it up thoroughly, and then re-glue new h/lining.
I know only High Temp glue is suitable. Any more advice welcome any any suggestions on materials etc please. "Woolies Trim" seems ok, any comments?
About how long a job too?

To remove the headlining from the car about an hour I recon.....

Maybe a task to remove all of the sponge backed trim from the headlining though and perhaps a few blisters:D

Becareful removing it & replacing into the car as the headling is wider than the boot door appature:rolleyes:

Thanks for the reply. Only the edges holding it in at the moment. Guess I`ll end up with a seriously dusty garage soon.

Also as ive replaced mine make sure the holes line up both sides when replaced as it can go uneven and the grab handle screw dont fit if out of line, also the trim edge can show if not inline, mine was the none sunroof type. :) Ps. im thinking or doing the A.B.C Posts with the old roof lining from the one that was saging as they are dirty and scratched, this would then be a very good match for the roof lining, think they could be pulled tight then glued with maybe a gluegun from behind to keep the material tight.

One more thing remember to get the extra wide materal from Woolies, think its the 60" width. :) I used a cylinder hoover with just the pipe to remove the old sponge from the roof only took 40 mins.

Ta for that. On 60" wide I think the Woolies site shows only wool. Is that what you used? They also show brushed nylon at 54" which is what I was thinking of. A bit nearer the original.
I`m not a fanatic about about originality, so long as it`s neat. And anything is gonna be better than the grey washing hanging off my roof at the mo`!
