Hi Folks
Here's a good problem for all clever electrickery types out there.
With my headlights at the dipped position my offside light is correctly dipped but my nearside light is on full beam, when I turn my lights to full beam the offside correctly switches to full beam but nearside is now dipped!
So basically the nearside light does the opposite to the correctly switching offside light.
Bad earth, wiring, switch or relay?? Its a 200tdi disco, with no aftermarket spot lamps and, after quick inspection, all the wiring looks as it should......
Thanks for your thoughts in advance.

On my old 200 disco I had a similar problem , It turned out to be a wire on the stalk had come away from the solder. Take off the steering cowl and have a look at the stalk.

Just the thing that would happen if the bulb connections are reversed, is it not.

Well worth investigating this.

It's not uncommon for the connectors on the back of the lights to melt when the connectors deteriorate. These then have to be cut off and new connectors soldered on. Some folk decide to just fit spade connectors which is a perfectly good repair. However, if you weren't paying attention when connecting the lights up it'd be easy to accidentally connect things up incorrectly?

Worth a check???

Ha, indeed it was a very easy fix. There had been work done to the headlight terminal and once the wires on the headlight terminal were swapped to the correct position all was good.
So thank you too those who helped with their comments....

My 300 did the same turned out to be the connector that goes on bulb had melted so were touching.try there or the stalk end.its gettin power so no breaks in system so check either end.
