Hi, I have a 109 Series 3 and am trying to figure out a wiring fault to the headlamps.
When bought, the passenger side bulb was blown, I replaced the sealed beam with one from a friend and it also blew. I have now taken the connector off of the back to test the voltages. The driver side works fine, so I have compared it to this for reference. However all of the terminals give the same voltages on both sides and both operate the same, so I am at a loss as to why the passenger bulb has now blown twice.
I have since tried swapping the working bulb to the passenger side and this worked fine. So is it a wiring issue? Or is there some odd detail I don't know about?
Thanks in advance.
