Headlamp compatibility - which type?

Hi all, I'm trying to buy a set of continental (LHD) headlights for my 2001 TD4, but I'm not sure if the one's on the web are compatible? I have clear indicator glass, but all the web sites where I can find them have orange indicators on the images. The part no/code seems to be correct but the picture is not the same as mine....

Do all the lamps for that year on a TD4 have the same fitting?

Do they all work with the 3-point switch level adjuster on the dash?

someone was on here yesterday wanting rhd headlight and they have a lhd - do a search and swap one.

Yep, saw that, thanks - but I need a pair, and need to be sure they fit my car - and if they don't I want to be able to send them back.

Not a bad a price, but the Guy wasn't too helpful with a part number - seemed like a 'dodgy dealer'. The search continues.....

My problem with the car is it's a 2001 and a changeover year - all the websites I have asked have not been able to verify the correct type for my car despite giving them the vin number. Most of them offer a light with an amber indicator glass and mine is clear (as your link above, R ), so I really don't if there is a difference in the fitting?

Yep, but wasn't 2001 the year the changed the TD4 to the new-look front end, which invloved 'new-style' headlights as well? Which would involve new part numbers etc. So if you have an 'old-style' TD4 (as in linked ad) they are the correct fitting - the different light styles are physically quite different.

Yep, mine look as in the pic you linked. However, and as usual, the suppliers need a part number to match my Vin before they can assure me of the correct part, and cannot find anything on their system(s)

I think the only difference is the amber indicator glass (mine are clear), but I'm not sure.... hence why I'm posting on here for input. Thanks mate.
